Aussie Dog, Blue Heeler, Cattle Dog - Mitch

Mitch, the Blue Heeler who instigated the Aussiedog range of dog products (16 years ago) passed away peacefully at home on Monday morning at 8.45am 11.01.2010

Mitch seemed to realize it was time to go at the grand age of 18 years old. Even up to Sunday afternoon he was playing with his disc whilst I (Joe) was mowing the lawn, his usual trick of dropping it in front of the mower so I have to stop and throw it.

It is sad but one remembers quite easily the good times and the way he virtually turned our life on a different path. It was because of Mitch and the toys we made for him that dogs internationally now enjoy safe toys as well. This has lead us to meet so many people within all facets of the dog world and over the past ten years our personal involvement with enriching the lives of zoo animals world wide.

Yes Mitch will live on through his legacy as only a Heeler can. It will be a bit strange without my constant companion.
